Hi and I have a question on my air vents
 

Hello!! This my first post so be easy on me....

I just recently purchased a 98' C280 and I love the car!!!

I do however have a question regarding the climate control. No matter which mode the vents are in during auto or no auto, the air seems to be coming out from all the vents. The only time the center vents stop giving out air is when I press front defrost.
I have tried to search on this topic but everyone is having the problem on the center vents stop working due to Vacuam leak or pump problem. Well, I'm having the opposite problem unless the climate control suppose to do that?
For example, I only want air coming from the bottom vents. I press the "bottom vent only" setting but still have air coming out of the center vents. It's Annoying because my daughter gets cold sitting the back but I don't want to turn off the AC completely so I need the vents to listen to me!!!

Btw, I flushed my transmission with the proper MB trans fluid and changed out the trans filter. Boy, does it shift smooth. Now, I'm working the oil pan to fix a leak. Over all, it's been a joy!!

Nevermind!! I just notice the AC will full blast on all vents until the desire temperture are reached then I can control which vent to shut down.
