Thick black shoot from exhaust
Hi Everyone including Larry Bible,
My MB 230E releases tick black shoots whenever it is fired. This is very noticeable when you cover the exhaust temporarily with your palm/hand and fire the engine. Your palm will then be covered with a thick black and a bit oily carbon. I thought a MB car in good engine condition should rather bring out water droplets whenever it is cold started and fired. Is my engine gone or my injector needs services? Please help out b4 I lose my head. |
Some black soot could be seen . Especially if it is a short journey vehicle.
Is this a '99 on C230. 202 chassis ? You said a 230e Please verify .. Most late model MB's through my shop are very clean at the tail pipe...to the point of no soot at all. |
