MB Safety Recalls good for life of car?
Just learned that a safety recall on my 300E wiring harness was issued back in Mar '95 due to chafing/shorting problems.
I don't *think* there have been any electrical problems with the car (2nd owner) or if the harness has been replaced or not, or even what condition the harness is in presently. (don't even know where it's located). My question is: are safety recalls good for the life of the car? I wouldn't mind having the harness replaced for free because I'm certain I'll have problems with it in the future if indeed the original factory harness is still there. Thanks! ~Paul
