96 C280 ATF Fluid
Hi, For the last five years have been using Valvoline Durablend ATF with great results. Appears to be better than MB ATF in cold weather.
It is my understanding from Valvoline tech support that the Durablend ATF synthetic blend has been relabled to Valvoline Mercon V. The containers for Mercon V specify for 96 or younger Fords but in the fine print on the back states it replaces Dextron II and Dextron III. Has anyone used the Valvoline Mercon V in c280 or is the Valoline Maxlife a more suitable product to use. Thanks

That trans is designed for Dexron transmission fluids!
ONLY synthetic trans fluids are better than regular Dexron.
