Help removing fuel filter lines!

Im in the process of replacing the fuel filter and i can't figure out how to pop the plugs out. Any tip will be appreciated. Thanks

there are a pair of pliers that i use for the job, i have never tried it with out them, but i do know even with the correct tool they can sometimes be dfficult. they are mb number 163-589-00-37-00
be sure you system doesn't need the filter modification, that can be determined if your original filter is shorter than the new one.
