Please - where is it!!!!
Matt - I have same car - please as everyone seems to feel that is it (but never ever describing it) - where exactly is that last inch of the car you found it in???
Do you happen to have the parts number? I will just replace, (not being great with solder), and as that can normally provide a picture that will also help me identify it. Thnaks...I'm going crazy thinking I know the solution but can't apply it. |
Not sure what kind of a car you and Matt have, but I have a 1998 C280 and mine is in the trunk and plugged into a cable (not a relay rack). It has 5 or 6 pins. It is near the back on the right hand side (passenger side)...a foot or so behind the back seat.
Good luck.:) |
Another thread that saved a trip to the indy for diagnosis and repair. The relay cost $32 on eBay for the M-B branded Siemens part, although my indy said he could get it for me for a few bucks less and let me install it. Getting it delivered to the house was worth the extra day and dollars.
I noticed that some folks mentioned opening up the relay case to inspect and perhaps renew solder joints. I gave it a try with some thin pry blades, but couldn't get past the clips. |
