Gas and Brakes

I have recently purchased a 1995 Mercedes C220 from a retired man. The car is perfect and I love it! I do have some questions concerning this vehicle. How important is it to run premium fuel and also the brakes are squeaking...What should I do about this?

Once again, I love this car- 36 miles to the gallon is great and it is the best driving automobile I have ever owned.
