It really is a good ride. Surprisingly quiet too for a car over 30yrs. I had a 63 ford restored and I could never hope to get it as quiet as this; no wind noise in cabin at all. They truly made a great car then.

What's with the Walmart hubcaps?

i was thinking the same thing about those wheels, but looks great besides. You just have to love that 70's brown. I'd like to see a few interior pictures if you have any. I could look it up myself, but how big is the engine?

ditto -

Also - I'd be interested in detailed pictures of the center brake light hook up.

hubcaps

Yeah, I know, but they're from AdvanceAuto. They really look good while they're rolling. Plus they protrude out some which is nice since I have the chrome fender molding. The third brake light is an easy install. Take out the back seat and feed the wire under the headliner lip to hide, go into trunk and connect to brake light assembly. I went straight to the connector. I can't remember the number of the prong but it's on the bottom of the 6 or 8 prong connector. use a tester to verify. Ground to chassis.

FWIW, i'm sorry but the original hubcap didn't do it for me (of course they're in the trunk). This is a little sportier without the bling/bling of new rims. People seem to like and comment on them too. Go ahead, make fun of it....but it's what I like ok?

Give me an afternoon or in the morning; I'll have the interior to send over. It's black mbtex. The engine is a 4.5l about like a 289 ford my ride below had.......

nice ford

i particularly like the ac unit. looks like the business end of the space shuttle booster.

Here's the interior; time of day not real good for optimum quality. But basically, it's black, have the radio out(poor aftermarket) ready for new radio. I must say I really enjoy driving and working on this car......I do however, must save the real money for the other one shown in an earlier picture.

That's a beautiful interior. How frequently do you use the car?

skiier3_9 09-05-2005 04:18 PM

I like the 16V in the background better :)

Nice car though!

drive both weekly

Usually drive one every other week. I have been however, driving the 280 for the last 3 weeks. It's a no brainer ride; no shifting. Both cars have their advantages.
