95 e320 wont start in park but will in nuetral?
I have a 95 e320 that would not "crank"/start in Park. I put it in Neutral and it started? What is this? :confused: :sun_smile

Probably you Neutral Safetyswitch.
Will it start in " Park " if you wiggle the shiftlever a bit while you turn the key ? |
Check the shifter bushing first. Start in N but not in P is classic bushing wear not allowing the NSS to engage in P as the shift gate stops the rod travel due to slop in the linkage.

shift park problem
i slammed it in park and it cranked in park for a little bit but wont start in park again. I did notice that going into Drive was a little "mushy/loose/hard to find gear/ Drive and 3rd were very close -- now Does that help yall help me

Arthur already nailed it - you start with new shifter bushings. It's a DIY project if you are so inclined - plenty of info in the archives.
