Just curious - would you guys purchase a high mileage relaively new S class. I've got an opportunity to purchase a 97 S with 110K miles on it. It's priced significantly lower than market for that year. I've owned 3 mercedes in the past (300D, 560SEL, E430) and have never gotten to that level of mileage except for the 300D.
I know the diesels run forever, but anyone have experience with what generally starts falling apart in the gasoline powered models ? Obviously time will be on its side since its only four years old, but it does have an average of 25-30K miles/year. Any thoughts ? Thanks Ed |
