I've noticed on my 86 300sdl that the previous owner hit the oil pan and patched it up with epoxy. Not only does it look bad, although I don't look under the car, but I'm worried about a potential leak, especially on the freeway going 80+. Is there any secret to replacing the pan, and gaskets? I would drain the oil, then remove the pan and old gaskets and reverse the procedure for installation. Am I missing anything. Thanks for the help and always GREAT feedback.
