My 350 SEL Has a bump in or under the boot when I go over the smallest speed bump.
I have checked the shocks the springs and taken everything from the boot but no luck Could it be the mounting above the diff? I have not romoved it yet but is my next job. Any ideas? |

The shocks have check valves in them that can cause a noise like you are describing but there were a few recalls on the mount you mentioned which is probally the culprit especially if it is a loud Thud .

could be
a loose shock, or something else loose in the susp. the diff mount wouldnt be very high on my list of suspects. also worn shocks will thunk if over a sharp bump like that 'cause they flop down too fast.
english? boot, you know. yanks say trunk. tom w
