turn signal problem 78 300cd
 

it's the oddest thing... the signal lights work but the turn signal switch doesn't lock into position. also, there's this buzzing in my center console by my hazard switch whenever i try to use the turn signal. i'm wondering if the switch is bad or the relay is bad... or perhaps both?

any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
