mating a window motor to a regulator
 

Hello-

I have already placed a few posts on my wndow motor problem. I have an '84 300 SD and am replacing a shot window motor. Both my old one and a new used one that I bought from another Member are the Brose BOSCH type. However, I just can't seem to get the worm gear for the new motor (or the old one, for that matter) back into the regulator. I've tried giving 12 V to the motor to see if it gets pulled in by the gear, but to no avail. I keep messing with it, but don't know what else to try. All I need is that last quarter inch or so... Any suggestions?
