My 1987 560sl (131,000 miles)feels like it is braking or hesitating while coasting or decellatering from 60 MPH to 50 MPH. While it is doing this, the RPM's on the tach are jumping a bit.
Has anyone heard of this? The dealer tried everything and finally said it might be the air intake module ($1,200). What do you think? Also, wipers only work on fast, not slow or intermittant. Any ideas? Many Thanks, Lou |

I have the same problem on mine...and it seems to keep the cruise control from working properly too.
In a query here last fall, or possibly in a conversation with a Mercedes mechanic, I was told it was likely the throttle control needing adjustment. I'll watch this space eagerly...it would be too wonderful to have the problem be fixed by "an adjustment" rather than a $400.00 part and an hour of labor.
