Keep it or get rid of it
I have a 1977 mb 450sl fuel injected. I have done everything that I can think of to get this smb started and having no luck.
new fuel pump blead and cleaned all injectors spark no clue who would pay to see this baby dropped off of a 150' cliff and lit on fire> (frustrated) |
frustrated
we all have been where you are with a car before. dont give up.
are you getting fuel to the injectors? does it have spark to the cylinders, at the right time? does it have proper compression? when the answer to all these questions is yes, it WILL start. without just one of them it won't. nothing mysterious. just go down the check list and tick them off. you will probably get it running. if any of the items is unworkable, it can be fixed.... the question is at what price? if it is too much then you have a different problem. good luck. tom w |
I agree with checking to see if fuel is getting to the injectors. Mostly because the thing that I would suspect (besides a fuel pump) is that the plunger in the distributor is stuck.
But, that's just me and my strange ideas. ;) |
Thanks guys I will give it a shot.
