Roof Leak Help - 87 300TD
 

When replacing the rear hatch struts two months ago on my newly acquired wagon, I noticed that the inside of the headliner on the left hand side had water stains...didn't think much about it till we had a weeks worth of storms last week and I park outside. The PO garaged the car, so I'm sure he never noticed.

The water leaks down the drivers side pillar between the doors and the rear driver side pillar behind the rear door as well. I think its a slow leak as it only started coming down the pillars after the big storms, not from the light showers we had previously.

I checked the sunroof drains which were fine, so I started taking down the headliner from the drivers side to peek. It seems that the area that is wet is in the rear part of the sunroof area on the drivers side, and its wet on the roof above the sunroof. Since water doesn't travel up, I don't think its the sunroof, unless the roof is wet from condensation. Has anyone experienced a leak due to the roof rails? Since the area is still pretty wet, i don't think I could run a water test and see where the water is coming out from.

Any other suggestions?
