Diagnostic Codes and finding an ECU
HI,
I am a first time poster, so please bear with me. I have a 1991 300e and I need to be able to get the engine diagnostic codes out of it. Does anyone know how to do that? Also I need to replace the ecu. Does anyone know what years are compatible with my car? -James

Error Codes
Try this thread. I'm working on my 1991, also california. Try pushing the button on the 16 pin connector for about 3 seconds and then count the blinks. If you have more than one error, you will have to do that for each one, until you get back to the first.
