Heater Blower motor removal, 124 series
Hi,
Is there any easy way to remove the blower motor ? It appears that after the console and dash switches are removed, it is buried inside a big plastic box. Any help appreciated. |
You are on the wrong side of the fire wall.. it is attained from under the hood..

Thanks, that's a help.
How / where do you get at it from under the hood ? |
I haven't attempted this yet but you need to go in through the wiper motor. There should be some instructions in one of the postings that will help. Typically you do not know which motor it is until you pull it out.
Have you checked the fuse box and there is another fuse on top of the wheel well in a little black box. It's a bigger fuse. Always good to check the small cheap items first. PDX Ballard |

Here's a link that will help: http://www.serenitysys.com/MB/Service_Info/W124%20Blower%20Motor/ You can't enlarge the thumbnails because the links aren't current anymore, but it gives you a good written discription and the photos are helpful (even if they are small). Jeff Pierce |
Thanks for the help. I'll tackle it when the rain stops.
