2000 c230k window auto-up failed after spark plug replacement
This is weird, I replace my plug's with Bosch FR7KTC as suggested. I disconnected the battery first, removed the access plate, the coils, and wire leads from each plug, then I replaced one at a time. Once I was complete, I connected the battery and reset the FSS, since I also changed the oil, filter, and other items. At first I had a BAS/ESP light which finally went out after I put the car in motion and hit the gas. I parked the car and tried to enter my radio code (which is not accepting even though I just got the new code from the dealer, because the radio is not the orginal). Then I hit the window switch for each window and nothing hapened. I heard the relay's engage but no good. Then I slowly pushed the window switch, and as long as I did not go to auto-up position they worked. I then did the same with the sun roof vent, and it hesatated but closed.
What is all this, and why is it happening after a simple task? I only think somehow this is a loop type dianostic system which is all connected to something effected by the battery being disconnected. There was nothing on when I connected the battery except for the trunk light. I sure could use more advise, so fell free to respond. Thanks to all. |
You need to re-program your windows.
Push & hold switch to roll window up, when it's up hold switch for 3-4 seconds. Push & hold switch to roll window down, when it's down, hold switch for 3-4 seconds. Repeat for EVERY window. ;) |
