88 300E Stalling & Surging Idle
 

I have a 300 E that has recently started to die as I let off the gas as I am approaching a red light or to stop. The idle also is surging, not much but a little and to top things off the Check Engine light is on. Is there a way to pull the codes on me 300E w/o a fancy tester and does anyone have the codes for this car. This site has saved me big bucks and I have 100% faith it will do it again.

i was experiencing similar problems with my 87 300e just last week. the stalling seems to have stopped though since i did a repair on a cracked solder joint i found in my fuel pump relay. of course, i would not have known to check that relay without the help of this site...
try doing a search for 300e stall or something and you should find lots of stuff.
