1992 190e question
I just purchased my first MB. Its a 1992 190e with 90,000 miles. I have a question about the heater. It works but the two center vents blow cold air. I assume they are stuck on vent. Any suggestions?

This is a great car that I purchased and I think I'm hooked. The car gets the best mpg I could imagine as I drive 40 miles to and from work. I wanted a reliable car that would get good mpg and the rice burners were out. I love this little car and its fun to drive. I just wish I could fix this issue cheap.

This is a typical misunderstanding with owners that don't have a manual . . . the center console vent will only provide "non-heated" air . . . which means either a/c chilled air or ambient temp outside air . . . but it won't provide any heater core heated air.

thanks but how do i fix it
Hey thanks but how do I fix the issue?

Check under the hood, above the brake booster where there are multiple plastic vacuum lines connecting via rubber tubes. Look for a broken/worn one.

the center vent will always blow cold air no matter what. If you want heat you gotta close em. If the little knob is gone try find a new one at a wreckers or get the part from the dealership
