Need second opinion, Tech at ind. shop believes that
4 blinks is Airflow Sensor. He says a very pricy part. ($400) Wouldn't know for sure until part is installed. Also said 1 blink is end of codes. Due to my budget I may have to get at auto recycler. I was wondering if anyone has replaced these things and what is involved. Do you need any special tools????? etc. Also, EHA is leaking fuel. Will o-rings fix this???? I an wondering if these parts fail very often. (EHA) Any ideas????? |
Unfortunately the EHA is usually what leaks. The o-rings usually aren't the problem (unless you leave them out).
I looked at the code table and 4 is for the airflow potentiometer. The device isn't sold separate from the airmeter housing. It should be tested to verify the problem. The device has a three wire connector that should have 5v, ground and the control signal. The control signal should be .5-.9v at idle and go up toward five volts. |
Thanks for replying Steve. I will check voltage.
