All of a sudden I'm leaving a slug trail behind me of hydraulic fluid. It's coming from the area of the 4Matic hydraulic unit underneath the right rear seat in my wagon. Had to have it towed 40 miles to the shop that recently replaced the unit for $2800.
Any thoughts? Could I have flipped the test lever forward and driven it?
I only drove it for about 50 yards after the leak started. Was backing into a parking spot to eat my spicy chicken teryaki when I noticed the leak on the pavement. Walked the trail back about 40 yards and to the spot where I parked waiting for the food. Not a drop where I parked, but starting 10 yards after I pulled away a slight trail turned into a small creek!
Please God its a simple fix! Warranties are a good thing.
