2004 c230 kompressor sport sedan
 

i have a 2004 c230 kompressor sedan.the car will not start.battery is fine connections are clean and tight. all dash lights,and other electrical components work.when you turn to the start position nothing happens, no click or dimming of lights to indicate power going to starter.could this be related to transmission safety switch?car is in park when attempting to start.where is tansmission computer located.unlike my s class there is no box of computers mounted up in engine compartment.thank you.

Put it in neutral and see if it will start. If it does, likely the safety switch is bad.

Is it under warranty? Let the dealer worry about it! We had a similar problem with my wife's C320. Two computers and two new keys later, the problem is fixed...

If it is a 2004 and you are in the USA then call 1-800-MERCEDES and let them fix it. That is what warranty is for. If not then well sorry.......
