Re-Sync 96 C280 Remote???
 

I finally replaced my completely dead batteries and now the remote wont work. I guess its my own fault for waiting so long but the procedure to resync in the owners manual didn't work. Anyone know what else I can try. Owners manual said to press the button twice then put the key in the #2 position in the iginition. This didnt work at all. Any help is much appreciated

Try going to the part department at a Mercedes dealers and asking nicely for them to help you. The direction in your owers manaul should work. Two year ago I had the same problem you're having with a key I put a new battery in. I couldn't get it to resync for the life of me and ended up buying a new key from the dealership. I think it was about $125. Good luck.

If you car is the same as my 600 point the remote at the mirror, hit the botton 2X then insert in the igntion and turn to the number 2 position. The keyless entry light will blink (red or green I forget which..).

If you sensor is in the door, press the button twice, insert the key in the door lock turn left then right and it should be good to go.

none of this has worked... is it possible my batteries died AND my receiver broke at the same time. I will try with my other remote tomorrow and see what happens. i am probably doing somehting wrong though
