ABS light staying on and wont start when cold
 

my 1992 190e 2.0 has developed a problem over the last 2 weeks which went away for a few days then came back. the abs light came on whilst driving and after being left overnight the car only managed to start after about 5 minutes of trying,ticked over real slow then when it warmed up was ok but the abs light stayed on all the time. this stayed the same for about a week when the abs light went off and cold starting was back to normal :) but only for 2 days till the abs light came back on and now it wont start even tho the battery seems to be strong and turns the engine over quickly as usual. a local garage tested the voltage at the battery with engine running and it was around 14 - 14.5, then they said take it to a mercedes main dealer to have it plugged in to a diagnostic tester:confused: any help would be gratefully received thx

Start with a new over-voltage protection relay.

thx ever so much doc,just 1 more thing plz if ya dont mind ,could you tell me where it is ,and would this be linked to the bad starting from cold, ooops thats 2 things :)
