digital gauge cluster
 

Hello.
I have 1992 500sel. Gauge cluster has digital milage and trip indicators. I seen many w140s up to 1994 and they all have mechanical milage and trip counters. I assume cluster was replaced. So should it be mechanical or was it an option you can order from dealer? Also there is no Check engine light! I put 2 new bulbs into cel socket but they don't light up and if you see through cluster where cel light is there are no letters saying CHECK ENGINE. Lens is just pure red.:confused: Reason for my question is the milage accuracy since if it was replaced I don't know how many miles old machanical cluster had.
