1996 SL 500 Died Mysteriously....?
 

So my wife was driving our 1996 SL 500 about 25 mph when suddenly, the car (in her words) "made a electric buzzer noise and lost power. I pulled it over, turned it off and tried to restart it and, nothing".
So the car wont crank, no clicking noises, nothing. I tried resetting the alarm weith the remote and again with the key in the lock on the door, and still nothing. All the attenuators in the dash light up as normal, but nothing happens when you turn the key. No dimming, nothing. I still suspect the alarm, but if someone out there has seen this and dealt with it before I would love to hear from him/her before I start ripping into it.

WOW that was it! I tried moving the shifter back and forth several times and it started. Good call, Thanks!
