Misfire, check engine light on M104, W210
I have a 1997 E320 that suddenly developed a misfire and the check engine light came on.....About a year ago I replaced the spark plug connectors and plugs. Is it possible that the plug connectors are bad already? I've read on this forum that they are a very common problem on W210s. Is there a way to take an ohm reading on the coil-packs to see if they are good or not?....I'm going to Autozone to get the codes scanned.......btw, what's the best spark plug (from you guys experience) for the M104 engine?...Is it true that when the ECM detects a misfire it shutsdown the associated injector?
Thank you in advance. ps, I've seen M104/W210 repair cds advertised on ebay.......Are they legitimate???.......Mercedes sure have changed a lot since my old 123 and 124 chassis.......You'd think that repair information would be available for a 1997 by now, huh? |
how's the wiring harness?

Bosch Super Coppers F8DC4... No others |
Autozone scanned codes
P306 - Cylinder 6 misfire
P301 - Cylinder 1 misfire P300 Random misfire Is it safe to assume that because cylinders #6 and #1 fire off of the same coil, that the coil is defective?????? OR should I first replace the spark plug connectors.....ps, installed F8DC4 Copper plugs - no change Thanks in advance |
