Fan blades for 400E 300E are they the same?

About a year ago a delivery truck backed into my 92 400E and demolished my front end. The truck's insurance covered everything. Had a local insurance claim shop do the work I thought everything was ok,, only I'm running into a strange problem now: When going down hill about 15 to 20mph and come to a rapid stop I get a noise sounds like the fan blades hitting something. I poped open the hood and inspected the fan blades, they are obiously used from a wrecking yard, and have 300E written all over them? I'm thinking they are possibly the wronge size? hope the fan clutch isn't bad, thats a $600 part I'm told. Needless to say wasn't to happy with this shops work as I had to take the car back several times , for miswired electrical, missing bolts securing the fenders to the frame. Any info on the fan blades would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

				it seems doubtful

to me that they are the same. dunno though. if they are different i would try to make the shop get the right ones for you. it would seem though that they prob are the same diameter, so i would look at adjusting the fan shroud and if that looks well centered i would look at motor mounts. tom w
