				1997 E420 Headlight and coolant

Two questions: Getting a coolant low indicator on my dash. 1. I went to fill the collent but could not find a fill line. Does it stop at the black cap line on the resivour? 2. The right hand main light went out on me. Are these easy to replace. I think it may be a xenon light. As always , advice is appreciated.

Al, Many times the coolant reservoir sensor ISN'T the problem. That sensor is in series with the w/s washer level sensor. Many times that sensor is the problem. YOU need an OHM meter to diagnose. The XENON bulbs are about 15 times the cost of a standard H7 ON your option list you will see code 612 if the car has Xenon lights!

				Thanks for responding

Thanks for responding, the coolant does look pretty low (quite down there in the resivour) but I am not sure what to fill it to. Any idea of where the indicator line is?

I was slowly losing coolant in the expansion tank in my 2000 E430, causing the idiot light to illuminate. The problem was a bad cap on the expansion tank.
