560SL Removal of Charlcoal Canistor

Gentelmen

I have been trying to remove the charcoal canister from my 560SL. I have removed the left front wheel and inner fender and can see the back side of the caniter but I cannot see or feel any fasteners that hold it on. It almost feels like it is welded on.

Also any hints on checking these.
