560SL aft window guide repair, How do I bond this onto glass
Gentelmen
The aft window guide on my passenger side window fell off. I looks like it has some kind of felt glued in between the guide and window. Does anyone know what is the bonding process required to reinstall this guide. Is new felt or whatever and glue available from MB. Or do I have to purchase a new window. John Roncallo |

Of course a new window has new guides.
At dealer we used old brake pad shims instead of the felt, then use quick-mix epoxy to glue them back on. HAVING them at the correct location is critical.

Thanks again MB DOC
I will probably try have this installed by a glass guy before I attempt it. I will have to get the location from the other side as the is no sign of where it was installed previously. My guess is it's been out for years because it works absolutly fine without it. I only know about it because I was fixing the regulator and found it lying at the bottom of the door. John Roncallo |
