Need help programming key
 

I have a 2001 ML320. The batteries on the electronic door key died. I replaced them, but the key still will not automatically lock or unlock the doors. I am told that there is a procudure to program or syncrongize the key. Can anyone tell me how to do this so I can get the key to operate. Thanks very much. Perry

Insert key into ignition swith and rotate to position 2
Remove key and press lock button and hold pressed while simultaneously pressing the unlock button 5 times.
Release buttons and press one of the two buttons once.
All this has to be done within 10 seconds.

will this work on programming the 02 ML55 keys as well ?
if there's a different procedure for that kindly let me know.
