The grates are definitely aluminum, not steel. I don't know about the angle...

there were two

grills for 115s. the 300 grill was a little wider.

the pontoon

in the blue car pic looks narrower than the grill in grandpas barn to me.

i had for many years a fintail grill lying about. if i can find it i will measure it.

or do you already have definitive measurements on it?

look at the

bottom area of the 500k. first look at the crank hole. then look at the bottom edge of the grill. there doesnt look to be any shell. it seems to disappear into the sheet metal.

the grill in the picture has a full wrapped bottom. it is designed to be attached to the hood like the later cars, i think.

damned nice looking 500k though.

Tom, the grille most seem to think is from a Ponton measures 25 1/4" high x 21 3/4" at it's widest point.

i didnt find the grill

but i found pictures. the pontoon has six divisions vertically, the fintail five. so i agree it looks more like a pontoon.

Those dimensionsare pretty much the same as the grill on my cabriolet. You can see several shots of the grill here, although none really close up
