Has anyone bleed brakes on a W140?

My friends S320 has a soft brake pedal. The pads look pretty recent I think the po had the pads done and they probably tried to change the brake fluid but didn't bleed them properly. I know with the W126 if you use one of those power bleeders they don't created enough pressure to bleed the ABS so hence a soft pedal. Is the W140 similer? Is their any reason we can't bleed them the traditional way? Ie someone pumps the pedal and the second person cracks the bleed screw? I have bleed W210's this way and it works fine.

The W140 brake system doesn't look much different then the W126's so I don't see why this method wouldn't work.

the conventional way would work fine, but with the power bleeder, i have gone as high as 25psi without any adverse effects. 25 seems to be a good pressure. i use this practice quite often in a shop where i service only mercedes cars.

Thanks, at what psi does the ABS bleed? I have driven a W126 where the owner bleed them with one of those hand pumps and the pedal was very soft.

do you mean when using the pressure bleeder? like i said i use 20-25 psi in the bleeder pressure tank
