1986 560SL blinkers not blinking

My blinkers will not work on my 560SL, all the brake lights and backup lights work. Is there a flasher assembly? I can'y find one anywhere.

maybe you should check the fuse or the lever it self. Do this. Press the Hazard switch and then signal left or right. See what happens. If there is now signal then you might want to check fuses and relays. Sometimes just by moving the fuses around, that gets them to work

I had the same problem on my SL. Make sure the hazzard flasher button is in the off position. That worked for me. Hope this helps.

I don't know if your car is similar to mine, but I've got an '85 300D and when my turn signals stopped working it was because the hazard light switch was in the 'on' position. As soon as i turned it off they worked again. Of course, the hazard lights don't work. Evidently the hazard switch beneath the button stops working easily and when the button is on, it prevents the turn signals from working.

I understand the switches are widely available in junk yards and easy to replace (at least on my car). I will try this soon. Good luck with your car!

If your turn signal on SL are not blinking, check hazard switch. If switch is good then its the turn signal/hazard relay. For info on changing that relay go here

I found the Hazard light switch was in the mid-position, once I turned it fully off the blinkers worked
