Mercedes body parts?
I am playing with the idea of replacing the front right fender on my 73 450sl. The price of this is all over the place. K&K mfg. is $532.00 yet some of the on line parts stores have them for $150.00 or less. Has anybody ever used an aftermarket body part and how did it compare (fit wise) with the original?
thank You

I have tried using some of that aftermarket "junk" on several MB's & it doesn't fit & is at least 1 guage lighter steel. You should be able to find a good used one at a fair price. MB made that chassis (R107) longer than any other chassis ever. 1972-1989!

i have used
aftermarket on my 123s and didnt notice any problems with them. i dont know about the 107s but it is impossible to remove a 123 fender without destroying it because of the thick rubber undercoating. so a used one is out of the question.
