W126 Dead Pedal - Carpet or Rubber?
 

I'd posted this question on the Diesel forum, but did not get a definitive yes or no. Should a 126 have some sort of a rubber or plastic piece on the dead pedal, or is it just carpet only? I ask as it seems strange to just be carpet only, as it is a high wear area I'd think, and I saw a picture of a later SEC that appeared to have some sort of rubber covering down there.

On my 126 SD and SDL it has a foot pad (dead pedal) over the carpet.
