MB C220 Engine Shake & stalls

Hi,

My 1994 C220 Merc develop sudden shakes & if the gear is in Drive & I turn the wheels to either left or right most, the engine shakes violently & comes to a suddeb stall. There is no engine error msg in the indicator board.

When I start the car, it shakes. But when I turn the wheels to left or right nothing. But its when I put the Car's gear to D(Drive) or R (Reverse), when the car virbrate more & stalls.

If driving straight the car can hardly go 30km/hr but if i push the throttle hard enough the engine may suddenly kick in suddenly then I manage to drive 60km/hr. Pushing the throttle to full will only manage at 60km/hr.

Can some 1 pls help me to diagnose? Whats actually wrong? Is it major or a minor part faulty?

Thanks

the first thing may be to have codes read, not something that the cars instrument panel would display.

have you checked the engine bay for a loose vacuum hose?

Also, your air filters not clogged, is it?

Ethan

He drives a " MERC " as in " MERCURY ", so none of your suggestions apply. ;)

What are the codes?

Can you direct me where the Vacuum hose may be located so I can site it.

Thanks
