1998 E320 Electrical Glitch with Seats/Windows
About once a week the seat and window controls in our 1998 E320 won't work. The only way I have found to restore those controls is to disconnect the battery for a minute or so, and the controls function for another few days. This is my wife's daily driver and, as you probably know, the battery is under the rear seat cushion so it's a nuisance. The Service Department at our local MB dealer is unfamiliar with this problem, and couldn't provide a permanent solution ... as in, replace a relay, etc. Any ideas about what is causing this problem and how to resolve?

This is super common on the C series
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/tech-help/132934-98-c280-power-seat-problems-4.html In that case it is a relay located in the trunk area. Don't know about E series though but it could be similar.
