How man foot lbs. should I use to tighten the rear axle nut??
 
I have an ML430

490nm or 360 ftlbs.

Do you have any friends that work at trucking companies... You'll need a "very" large size torque wrench to achieve that value. That type of torque wrench is more common in the trucking industry. It will cost major $$$ to buy one.

DOH! I guess I am fired. Serves me right for using 10year old MB slide rule.

Sad thing is tolerance of torque wrench could be as much as +/- 36 ftlbs off
anyways.:rolleyes:
