More 4 matic questions
If the actuating system for the 4matic transfer case is leaking where does the hydraulic fluid go? Would it normally leak when the system is not actuated? Does it mix with the ATF in the TC? If this is the case how bad is the repair cost wise? Is it feasible to DIY? 1991 300E 4matic with 135K. I am afraid the repair could be more than half the value of the car.
