560SEL jumped over high curb

Hi,
I drive a white 560SEL, leather tan, and last saturday I did not find a parking space for my limousine, so I jumped a very high curb to park on the sidewalk.
Is the w126 robust enough for this kind of action or could it have a damage?
Does anyone drive a 560SEL and has made similar experiences too? I would be gratefull for an early reply.

Well it depends what got hit beneath the car??

The alignment may have been knocked out of line.

The car is strong enough to handle bumps (see any crash test videos) but it's not something I'd do with any regularity - if ever.

ditto

if nothing was banged dented or scraped and it was all taken up in the suspension action there is prob no damage.

if it was done at low speed.

if done at higher speed you could have some alignment issues or even bent rims. on my 90 350sdl the rims on the left side were both bent presumably from running over something by the po. it could have been a gigantic chuckhole or a curb.

it takes a lot to damage a benz compared to most cars though.

back in the seventies us made cars were so flimsey that you could knock one out ot alignment by going over a rough rail crossing. benzes you could get airborn and not do any damage. get a seventies us car airborn and when you landed you would scrape the crossmember.
