park sensors 92 300se please help

Hi i have just purchased a 92 300se w 140, it has a non genuine sterio, i have a boot full of cut wires from the old system, how do the park sensors work?
They go up when i put it in reverse but there is no wirering connected to them, i have removed one and cant see where anything to plug any wires to it. how do they work? help please

The park sensors are driven off the "lock, lumbar, etc. pump" under the passenger rear seat. Vacuum and pressure, the input comes from the reverse switch to the pump

Hi Peter,
I know how they go up and down, that works fine.
Im trying to work out how to connect them to my sterio so i can hear them

Hhmmm....

My guess is that you have confussed the rear electric pop-up masts, located at each rear corner on early W140s with the "Parktronic" system, option installed on W140s from 1996 onward.

The Parktronic system emmits a warning tone and shows how far an object is from the car with a series of warning lights, all of these done from a series of radar sensors located on both, front and rear bumpers.

The rear pop-up masts which raise when reverse is engaged do not emmit or send any sound, they are just a visual aid to the driver to help locate the rear corners of the car when backing up.

Thanks for that its been driing me crazy
I dont need to spend anymore time trying to work it out
I will install some sort of rear park sensors because i find hard to park in the city. Thanks again
