Hi all. What do you make of this? (view attached pic)

Notice how the torque spec for the conrod bolts is 35NM and then next it it in brackets 45NM. Then a reference to footnote 5.
What does that mean? Which torque value is it?

That spec (35nm) is for the original bolts if they are still useable.

The other spec is for the "first" torque on a NEW un-used bolt!

Note: the threads in block, and on bolt must be clean = no oil or coolant in hole, and just moisten the threads in hole, and on bolt enough oil to prevent binding during assembly.

As stated in the document:
#1. Use a torque wrench to set initial bolt tension, USED BOLT 35 NM, new bolt 45 NM.
#2. Use a breaker bar with angle meter, mark starting point, and tighten bolt roughly 90 - 100 degrees.

There is NO number for final torque, only an angle = torque to yield.
