Laso or Graf Coolant pump for my C230?

I see that there are two different water pumps for my C230 (M111.974) and was wondering if one was better than the other? In Canada, the Laso can be had for $196 and the Graf is $127. The dealer wants $309.00 for whatever one they have (I assume it's one of those) so I'd like to buy from a third-party supplier.

From what I've read here, anecdotally the Laso is supposed to be a better brand. I put in a Laso in mine last year, and so far it's working fine.

Both are Italian castings! The Graf uses the "OE" bearing & seal assembly made by INA..

Graf owns over 50% of Laso!

So you would consider them equilvelents? Laso always has the higher price - and so many people equate that with quality when it often isn't so.

Graf is THE best aftermarket pump for MB!

Warranty failure rate is less than 0.05%

What pump comes with the star on it?

Good, now I'm happy the worldpac place I ordered from shipped me a Graf even though I ordered the Laso :)

Maybe the important choice is to use MB coolant or at least avoid the coolants with silicates (see ingredients on the jug). I wonder if the silicates accelerate the wear of the water pump bearing?
