Adjusting gas pedel feel

It takes a bit more force on the pedel for it to move then I'd like. It's like lifting weights with my foot.

the question:

Adjust the spraing by the pedel, or by the throttle linkage?

If its anything like the diesels the throttle linkages probably need lubricating inside the ball sockets and the little nubs they hook onto. Try lithium grease, assembly lube, or ATF... if you use the heavier greases like the first two don't overdo it, just a thin coating or you will have problems. ATF I never liked because it's too runny, messy and doesnt last long enough.

Lube the throttle links that should improve things greatly.

I know what you mean about that pedal. There is a way to adjust the resistance by putting the spring end(s) into different holes on the front side of the firewall (mine has a spring within a spring). You can sort of reach it from under the car, but its hard to see. It makes a big difference.

I brought home a new to me car this weekend and could not believe
how hard the throttle was. My leg was sore after the 100 mile trip.

Started by disconnecting the pedal and then connecting each ball
in the linkage. That is when I realized exactly what you all are saying.
The linkage was really dry, even rusted a little.

I used motorcycle chain lube because it sprays on, but goes dry.

Maybe I'll try the grease though, I like that idea.
