Question 300E activate starter from under hood

Hi,I thought i read somewhere here that there is a place under hood, near brake booster that i can put a hot wire to and the motor will crank over. So this old spud does not have to climb under car.Sure would help with compression check.
car is 87 300E
Thank you
Rich

Correct, the center terminal on the three wire connector mounted in front of the booster is the starter circuit. DO NOT bridge or connect either of the other two circuits to the BATTERY positive as it will cause an unwanted problem. My remote starter switch is fitted with a 4 mm socket connector (an extension to the aligator clip) and it is insulated with shrink tubing.
